Development of techniques for visual characterization of particulate systems, surfaces etc using image processing are some of the
application to mention. Application of AI techniques, multivariate and wavelet based multi resolution image analysis etc are the main thrust
of the research. Rapid visual characterization capabilities are aimed at which will make these techniques suitable for online process
monitoring and control applications.
